Who knew that while I watch my small corner of the world slowly lose its mind for various reasons, I would have the time to create an unexpected mix? Well, it was that or lay on the floor crying in the fetal position. Only to wake up the following day glued to the floor by my tears.
After watching Blade Runner 2049 again and seeing the new trailer for 'Tales from the Loop,' I wonder how far away we are from a Simon Stålenhag world. Who knows? Certainly not me. Sorry, I have no answers, only questions.
What I do have, however, is a collection of tunes that could be the soundtrack to an unnamed sci-fi/dystopian/thriller/love story. Think District 9 + Silence of the Lambs + Love and Basketball. I don't know about you, but I'd pay at least £8 to stream that on Netflix and not be able to read the shrunken end credits because, for some reason, the next film lined up is Love Actually. Oi! Netflix! Sort your algorithms out!
